I received my Baccalaureate Nursing Degree in 2009 and worked as an RN in the ER/ICU before getting my Masters of Nursing degree, with a Nurse Practitioner focus, in 2014. From there, I worked at a rural family practice, became a Clinical Educator for Venture Health Care and came to specialize in Addiction Medicine.

My education in Medical Aesthetics started in 2020 when I was looking for a way to combine my scientific knowledge and love of the beauty industry. I obtained two certification programs which combined theory and hands on learning to bring the best practices to my patients. It was through discovering Medical Aesthetics that I realized I could turn this into a service that makes people feel confident and beautiful.

Because ultimately, I want to make people feel good about themselves. That’s why I do what I do. I love the feeling I get when someone leaves my office feeling like a more confident, beautiful and amazing person.

Aside from my job, first and foremost, I’m a mom to my two sons, 12 and 1 year old, and a wife to my wonderful husband. Together we enjoy being outside and living a healthy and self sustainable lifestyle.

Jen graduated from the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Manitoba in 2014. She has spent her career working in ICU, with most of her time in the Pediatric ICU in Winnipeg (also Calgary for a short time).

She is passionate about her career choice and helping sick children in need.

Jen completed an aesthetic course offered through THMA, was monitored, and trained by an amazing injection nurse, Jessica Jacobs, NP. Jen will be working under the direction of an equally amazing Nurse Practitioner, Tamara Sawatzky.

Leslie is the owner and Nurse Injector at Oak & Prairie Aesthetics. She has fourteen years of nursing background, starting out in cardiovascular surgery and cardiac medicine and continuing into the community as a Homecare Nurse. She has been injecting for four years and her main goal is to safely work with her patients and medical director to develop individualized treatment plans to achieve their aesthetics goals.

I began my careen in aesthetics in 2005 after finishing Aesthetics school in Winnipeg. After a few years in the field I knew I wanted more. I switched gears and began my career in Nursing after graduating from university of Ottawa in 2013.

My nursing career led me to work with the worlds most vulnerable population in NICU where I still currently practice. The ICU environment had left me searching for more creativity and medical aesthetics seemed like a no brainer.

After completing the aesthetic injection course offered by THMA I opened my own “little” treatment room located in Niverville Manitoba. I don’t consider my injection days “work”, as they are so rewarding. I enjoy the connections I make with my patients and love giving people their confidence back!

Hi! I am nurse injector Annie.

It has always a dream of mine to work in the world of medical aesthetics. After finishing nursing school in 2023 I immediately enrolled in Canada’s gold standard of cosmetic injectables through the Botox and Filler Course Canada. I obtained two certificates which combined theory and hands on training. 

I work alongside Tamara Sawatzky, RNNP to create treatment plans that enhance natural beauty while creating a more confident you! 

I am continuously learning and advancing my skills with hands on training and new literacy in the field. 

Fun Facts: I have three amazing children. 2 boys and a little girl. I work part time as a nurse on the surgical floor here in the Brandon Hospital. I am a Scorpio and love doing fun activities with my family such as skiing, swimming, and golfing!
